Current Appeal

The aim of our group is to offer support to the homeless and vulnerably housed in Cambridgeshire.
Small teams of volunteers take out donated items of hot drinks, food, toiletries, clothing and any items that may bring a bit of comfort to a persons life on the streets.
On our visits, we try to bring a sense of worth and a feeling of comfort to our street friends whether that be in the form of a cup of tea, a warm smile or a friendly chat!
Whether you are a street volunteer or a donator your help and support is gratefully received and greatly appreciated by our friends on the street!
Help us to sprinkle some kindness and let them know we care!
CFCH often meet up to 15 street friends on their walk.  I would like to sell at least 15 vouchers so that they can each get a voucher.  That’s just £75 which will allow each recipient to buy a snack and non-alcoholic drink when they’re hungry.
You can find them on Facebook:

I can also pass vouchers you purchase onto either Jimmy’sThe Cyrenians or Wintercomfort for our homeless or vulnerably housed friends or Cambridge Housing Society [CHS].

Please note: no vouchers are posted by mail

Thank you for thinking of people in need who would otherwise not be eating any food or enjoying a hot non-alcoholic drink today

You can buy vouchers for all 4 businesses below:

Black Cat Cafe
2 The Broadway
Mill Rd
Cambridge CB1 3AH

Black Cat Cafe is located on Mill Rd over the bridge; a cosmopolitan and vibrant part of Cambridge. A local icon since opening in October 2005, Black Cat has been serving a variety of coffee, specialty tea, smoothies and an assortment of handmade cakes and savoury food.

Black Cat was established to bring the artisan style of food found in New Zealand and Australian cafes to Cambridge. As a consequence, it has become a rendezvous for Mill Rd locals and a haven for New Zealand and Australian ex-pats and travellers desperate for a good slice of handmade cake (some of which we now sell to cafes in London) and a properly made Flat White coffee.

And yes it is true, Black Cat brought the Flat White coffee to Cambridge in 2005.
