We saw that there was a something missing, people who were leaving specialist treatment services didn't have a place to go that they could call their own, to support them to sustain long term recovery and prevent relapse.  | Community food hub and community fridge | The EDGE Café @ Brookfields is proud to be the first (and founding) community food hub and community fridge set up in Cambridge City. We are working in conjunction with Cambridge Sustainable Food, Food Poverty Alliance, FareShare and Neighbourly as part of their mission to combat hunger and cut down on food waste. Details of other food hubs in the Cambridge area founded as a result of the Covid pandemic can be found here. Through FareShare and Neighbourly we are allocated daily quantities of food from all of the major supermarkets, and this is weighed and displayed for people to access each day from Monday to Saturday.
