For over 20 years, Jimmy’s has been providing help for the homeless in Cambridge. We work with the local Community, Volunteers and Partner agencies to deliver 24/7 emergency accommodation and supported housing for those who would otherwise be homeless or vulnerably housed.

Wintercomfort is an advice and support hub working with homeless and vulnerably housed people within the local community. Wintercomfort are open every day, all year round, providing hot meals, laundry and shower facilities for rough sleepers along with a broad range of counselling, training and housing support, advisory services and employment opportunities to help support people out of homelessness.

The aim of our group is to offer support to the homeless and vulnerably housed in Cambridgeshire. Small teams of volunteers take out donated items of hot drinks, food, toiletries, clothing and any items that may bring a bit of comfort to a persons life on the streets.

On our visits, we try to bring a sense of worth and a feeling of comfort to our street friends whether that be in the form of a cup of tea, a warm smile or a friendly chat!

This long established and constantly evolving community of women, offers a realm of services to make life and living a little bit easier. Here you will find practical support and advice on many challenging day to day issues, including guidance on career development, support and advice on debt and financial, family and parenting, together with a mix of fun and practical informal groups, workshops and networking events.
